Want to know how to quit your job and become an online entrepreneur? Tired of your boss, nosey co-workers, and the monotonous rat race?
Deep down, you know there is a better way…don’t you?
Well today, I’m going to show you everything you need to know about being an online entrepreneur, the good, the bad and the ugly.
Plus, I’m also going to show you smart plan you can use to quit your job like a boss and possibly make more money than you ever did on your 9 to 5.
Question for you…
When you think about you quitting your job, how does it make you feel? Do you feel excited, nervous, fearful or a sense of relief?
Entrepreneurship is an exciting endeavor so having a wide range of emotions is perfectly normal.
Quitting Your Job Takes Courage
I remember when I quit my job in 2009 during the U.S. housing crisis, I didn’t know what I was going to do next.
At the time I was a full-time loan officer which meant I only got paid when I closed loans.
The bank I worked for had frozen all of our loans for several months so I was in quite a jam financially.
I had a car payment, a mortgage, credit card payments and expenses up the wazoo!
I didn’t know what to do, I was stressed.
However, two things became very clear to me:
- I didn’t want to ever be in a position where I had to rely on a job to pay my bills.
- No matter what happened, I would find a way to succeed and survive.
The next day following my epiphany, I walked into my boss’s office and quit.
This is why I always ask would-be entrepreneurs, how bad do you really want to be an entrepreneur?
Entrepreneurship takes courage and faith. It builds character, encourages smart risks and gives you the type of freedom employees only dream about.
You just have to figure out if you really want it or not.
Online Entrepreneurship From Thought to Reality
Ok, so now you know being a little fearful or nervous about quitting your job is perfectly normal.
So, how do you take the “thought” of quitting your job and becoming an online entrepreneur and to turn it into a reality?
You do this by using these 3 steps:
- Getting educated on how to make money online.
- Creating a realistic strategy that’s been proven to work.
- Consistently working hard executing your plan.
Depending on your financial and family responsibilities, everyone’s hourly dedication is going to be a little different.
A single person typically will have more available time, than a married person with children.
The cool thing about what I outline here, ANYONE can start an online business even while working a job.
You don’t have to quit your job or invest large sums of money either.
This is an online business strategy that you can do from home in your spare time.
Are You Ready To Be An Entrepreneur?
Being an entrepreneur is not for everyone.
It’s as simple as that.
Entrepreneurship takes guts, high self-esteem and strong will.
Your character, emotions and endurance will be tested. If it were easy, everyone would be doing it.
While the risks of being an entrepreneur are high, so are the rewards!
Entrepreneurship is freedom.
Freedom to work when you want, how you want and with who you want.
It also means financial freedom.
Entrepreneurs have the ability to make as much or as little money as they want.
Again, it’s not easy. You’re going to have to give the great effort and focus in order to be successful.
Why Most People Fail As Entrepreneurs
Statistics say, 9 out of 10 businesses fail within the first 5 years.
There are many reasons why businesses fail: money, location, lack of experience, etc.
But, from what I’ve seen over the years working as a freelance consultant is, most business fail because of the people running them.
As an entrepreneur, it doesn’t matter how hard you work. All that matters is the outcome of your efforts. (i.e. Did you succeed or fail?)
People who successfully transition from employee to entrepreneur must take on a new mindset.
They must approach their business with the same dedication they showed when they woke up, got dressed and drove to work everyday.
Why You Should Build Your Online Business While Working
The best time to start your online business is while you are still working your job.
The reason being, you will be able to pay your bills and expenses while transitioning.
When you first start your online business, it’s best to have at least $50-$100 per month to invest in your business needs.
You’re going to need a website, training, hosting, keyword tools and email auto-responder in order to be successful.
Another reason why you should build your business while you still have a job is, it allows for a smoother transition into entrepreneurship.
When I started working for myself online, I really thought I was going to make a lot of money from the jump but it didn’t work out that way.
What I found was I was able to make money every month but, I never made enough to really reinvest in my business.
So I encourage you to keep your job while you build your online business. That way money won’t be a cause of failure.
Thankfully, I’ve found a way to build the perfect online business, blogging and affiliate marketing.
