Do you know how much you matter?
Seems silly to ask but, it’s an important question.
Do you think you matter to people you don’t know, people with more friends than you or people with more money and fame than you?
I’m here to tell you a clear fact…
YOU MATTER more than you realize.
When I was growing up, there was a saying,
Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.
Remember that one?
It was a way for our parents to teach us strength whenever we were teased or perhaps being bullied by some other child or sibling.
But the fact is, words do matter.
And so do you, I’m go to show you how.
The Matrix Is Real
Have you ever seen the movie, The Matrix?
If not, I suggest you watch it asap.
In the movie, Neo is taken on a fantastical experience which examines the power of the mind, words and our thoughts of what we think “reality” is.
Not to bore you with the details (like I said, if you haven’t seen it…do so) but, what he learns is that “reality” is merely an experience of our mind.
What does that really mean?
It means that everything you say, do, learn and accept into your mind matters.
You as a human being have the ability to effect change on the planet in very real ways…physical ways.
It’s a gift you’ve been blessed with but, this is something most of us are never taught growing up.
The reason you were not taught this power in school is be “control” breeds power in this world and, power is what controls most people’s circumstances in life.
What Is Power?
Power is defined 3 ways…
- The ability to act or produce an effect.
- Possession of control, authority, or influence over others.
- Physical might or mental and moral efficacy.
Do you have power?
The answer is YES.
You have power every time you open your mouth to speak, every time you create something new, you effect change in the matrix / fabric of reality.
This is why YOU MATTER.
Even though you and I don’t “know” each other, what you say and do, does matter to me.
Connected through the common principle of physical manifestation, you and I come from the same source.
So no matter what popular thought may tell you, YOU and I matter a whole lot to each other.
When a pebble is thrown into a pond, everything in the pond experiences those ripples.
How Can You Use This Power?
One thing that I love doing and experiencing is daily meditation in the morning and evening, just before bed.
It gives me an outlet to explore my mind in ways that can only be appreciated by DOING it.
If you’re like me, you’ve probably been reading and hearing about meditation for years.
You always say, “I’m going to do that very soon because I know it would help me” but some how, you never found a way or the time to do it consistently.
I know for me, I always wanted to learn how to meditate and I tried it off and on over the years, but never seemed to be able to “get into it”.
If that’s you, I’m going to give you a tip that will help you find your consistency so you can experience what others are always talking about.
I’ve been consistently meditating everyday since February 4, 2017.
How do I know this?
Because everyday after my morning meditation, I write down in my journal what I learned from my meditation and date it.
I wake up everyday and meditate in the morning for about 30 minutes. It didn’t start off at 30 minutes, it started off at 10 minutes and progressed from there.
Challenge yourself to try morning meditation, 10 minutes a day for 21 days.
If you can pull that off, you will build a habit that will help you tremendously in every area of your life.
When you first start out meditating by yourself (preferably some where quiet) your mind will wonder…that’s normal.
Over time, you will get better and better at focusing your mind on being quiet.
Quieting the mind is what meditation is all about.
Sure there are many different types of meditation and practices you can learn and use, but the first step in meditation is just learning how to quiet the mind.
(I’ll share more about the different practices in upcoming posts).
A quiet mind allows you to relax your mind away from the stimuli of the world.
It is here in this state that you will find your power, your purpose, your true self and what it is you really want to experience in this lifetime.
Train Your Mind To Manifest
As I said in the beginning of this post, YOU MATTER.
What you do and say has a direct effect on the fabric of all physical and etheric matter in this 3 dimensional world.
Have you ever thought about a friend or family member that you haven’t seen or spoken to in a long time, then all of sudden they call you or run into you at some random event or place?
Have you ever thought about some celebrity and then one day you find yourself in their presence by mere chance?
This is called Manifestation.
Manifestation is when your thoughts and words appear in your physical reality.
This is what Neo learned in the movie, The Matrix.
He learned that his true power to manifest started in his mind and that if he could control his mind, he had unlimited power in the physical world.
Neo is YOU and I.
We both matter a whole lot.
This is why we are here on earth at this time and in this space of reality.
We are one, from the same source, experiencing different realities unique to our mind.
If you want to help yourself achieve greatness, experience a unique kind of joy that you only dream of, do your meditation and began to train your mind to think of yourself as being part of the one universal whole of all things.
If you don’t know what that means just yet, that’s cool…
I’ll be writing a lot more on this topic moving forward.
